Dario Ghibaudo a conçu son projet de Musée d’Histoire Innaturelle (Museo di Storia Innaturale) en 1990. Son identité plastique est en perpétuel mouvement. Il se déploie selon des configurations muséales où l’on va de chapitre en chapitre, de salle en salle, comme dans une histoire thématique où chaque espace est dédié aux différents domaines de la recherche scientifique : anthropologie, botanique, entomologie, ethnologie, spécimens rares, etc. L’une des idées, qui préside à sa création dite innaturelle, est de donner une autre vision des sciences et notamment de l’évolution de l’espèce animale (des différentes espèces : tels que les oiseaux, les poissons, les variétés de mammifères, etc.) à travers des transformations et des métamorphoses étonnantes. S’appuyant sur des recherches de scientifiques et de biologistes, il a pu inventer sa propre Histoire des sciences innaturelle. Par son imaginaire et ses inventions singulières, il a, d’une certaine manière, trouvé une extension rare du domaine de l’hybridation et de la régénération de certaines espèces, par la sculpture et son corpus de dessins. Ainsi dans sa nomenclature, il a constitué son Museo di Storia Innaturale, en plusieurs sections et salles (28 à ce jour) dont on aura un aperçu lors de sa prochaine exposition à Bruxelles, dans l’Espace Constantin Chariot. Dario Ghibaudo has conceived his ‘Museum of In-Natural History’ for more than thirty years. One of the ideas, which characterises his so-called in-natural creation, is to provide a different view of science and in particular of the evolution of animal species (in its differences: birds, fish, mammal varieties, etc.) through amazing transformations and metamorphoses. Taking his cue from scientific and biological research, he was able to invent his own History of In-Natural Science. With his singular imagery and inventions, he has, in a way, created a valuable extension of the domain of hybridisation and regeneration of certain species, through sculpture and his corpus of drawings. Thus, he set up his Museum of Unnatural History, in his nomenclature, in several sections and rooms (28 to date) of which we will have an overview in his next exhibition… Dario Ghibaudo's project (Museum of Unnatural History) began in 1990. Its plastic identity is in perpetual motion. It develops according to museum configurations that proceed from chapter to chapter, from room to room, as in a thematic history in which each space is dedicated to different fields of scientific research: botanical anthropology, entomology, ethnology, rare specimens, etc. A revealing selection of his creations from his Musée d'Histoire Innaturelle will be shown in Brussels at the Espace Constantin Chariot exhibition centre, at the invitation of its director, Constantin Chariot, and a curatorial project initiated by Patrick Amine.
